Transylvania Winter Tour – 6 Day Tour

Discover the magical charm of Transylvania in winter with this exclusive 6-day tour designed to immerse you in Romania’s seasonal wonders. From husky sledding through snowy forests to warming up with a chimney cake by the fire, this journey blends scenic landscapes, cultural discovery, and unforgettable winter activities.

Transylvania becomes a fairytale destination during winter, its medieval towns blanketed in snow and its mountains transformed into a serene wonderland. This private winter tour offers a unique combination of active and cultural experiences, specially curated for travelers looking to explore the region off-season. Starting in Brașov, we begin with a snow hike through the charming villages near Bran before visiting the iconic Bran Castle, associated with the Dracula legend. On the next day, we travel to Sinaia for an elegant tour of Peleș Castle, followed by an unforgettable experience of bear watching in the Carpathian wilderness—a rare opportunity to see brown bears in their natural habitat.

Adventure escalates on day three with a thrilling husky sledding experience (weather-dependent), followed by a warm and delicious chimney cake hands-on baking class—a local winter treat. As the journey continues, we visit the miniature marvels of Mini Transylvania Park, the medieval town of Sighișoara, and the baroque beauty of Sibiu, with guided walking tours throughout.

One of the most unique moments of the trip is a visit to the famous Ice Hotel at Bâlea Lake, reached via cable car, where you’ll explore a stunning structure sculpted entirely from ice and snow. We’ll also stop at the whimsical Clay Castle of the Valley of Fairies, nestled in a mountain valley. The final day offers a scenic snowshoeing or winter hike in the Cindrel Mountains, surrounded by pristine nature and panoramic views.

This is a fully private tour, tailored to your group’s pace and interests. Based on weather conditions and personal preferences, the program is flexible—we can skip or replace certain activities, ensuring the most enjoyable experience. The tour can start or end in multiple Romanian cities depending on your flight plans, including Bucharest, Sibiu, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, or Târgu Mureș.
