This meticulously crafted tour will take you through Vilnius, the vibrant capital of Lithuania, and to Kaunas, a city that perfectly blends history, culture, and modernity. Discover the hidden gems of Lithuania, from its beautiful medieval streets and impressive churches to the stunning natural landscapes, making it an unforgettable trip filled with history, culture, and picturesque scenery.

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Warsaw to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, a city known for its rich history, charming Old Town, and impressive architecture. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a professional, local guide who will lead you on a tour through the Old Town of Vilnius, one of the largest preserved medieval Old Towns in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The tour of Vilnius will begin with a visit to Vilnius Cathedral and Cathedral Square, where you will learn about the architectural styles of the cathedral and its historical significance. You will then head to the Gediminas Tower, which offers panoramic views of the city and the surrounding area, giving you an excellent opportunity to photograph the city from above.

As you stroll through the cobbled streets of the Old Town, you will pass by the St. Anne’s Church, a stunning example of Gothic architecture, and Pilies Street, one of the oldest streets in Vilnius, lined with colorful buildings and artisan shops. The Gate of Dawn, one of the most famous landmarks in Vilnius, will also be visited, offering a glimpse of the religious history of the city with its revered icon of the Virgin Mary.

In the afternoon, you’ll visit Uzupis, a quirky, bohemian district of Vilnius, known for declaring itself an independent republic, complete with its own president, constitution, and traditions. The district’s artistic spirit is evident in its galleries, pubs, and street art. The day ends with a relaxing dinner at one of the traditional Lithuanian restaurants, where you can enjoy local dishes such as Cepelinai (potato dumplings) or Kugelis (potato pudding).

The second day of your tour will take you to Kaunas, Lithuania’s second-largest city, located about 1.5 hours south of Vilnius. Kaunas is a city that offers a fascinating combination of medieval architecture and modern artistic expression.

Upon arrival, you will first visit the Kaunas Castle, a historic fortress dating back to the 14th century. From here, you will take a stroll along the Laisvės Alėja (Freedom Avenue), the main street of Kaunas, lined with impressive architecture and lively cafés. Kaunas is also known for its museums and galleries, and you will have the opportunity to visit the National M. K. Čiurlionis Art Museum, dedicated to Lithuania’s famous painter and composer.

Next, you’ll visit the Ninth Fort, a site of historical significance during World War II, where the German occupiers used the fort as a concentration camp and execution site for many Jews. Today, it serves as a memorial and museum, offering visitors an emotional insight into Lithuania’s wartime history.

Before returning to Warsaw, you will also visit the Pažaislis Monastery, one of the most beautiful Baroque-style monasteries in Europe, set on the picturesque shores of the Kaunas Reservoir.
