A great tour in a small group. Our guide was super nice and knowledgeable about the animals, making the hike and guided tour through the park really insightful. We had enough time to look at all the exhibits and take photos. Transportation was reliable, though a fellow traveler mentioned the minibus was very cold on the way there in -31°C weather (the provider noted this is unavoidable in extreme Arctic cold). Overall, it was a beautiful and engaging visit.

Ranua Wildlife Park exceeded my expectations! Being the northernmost zoo, seeing Arctic animals like the polar bear and reindeer in a snowy, natural-like environment was fascinating. The walk through the snowy forest was magical. We loved the educational aspect, learning about the lynx and their adaptations. The park is highly recommended for families. We also opted for the husky safari offered as a seasonal activity, which added an extra thrill!

As someone who is critical of zoos, I was very impressed with Ranua. They genuinely keep the animals in habitats that mimic their natural environment—the enclosures are large, and the setting in the Arctic forest is stunning. It was fascinating to see the wolf pack and arctic foxes feed. It’s clear the park focuses on conservation and education, which I appreciated. I definitely want to come back in winter to see how the animals, like the reindeer and arctic foxes, look in their full white coats!

The Ranua Wildlife Park is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth a visit. The enclosures are large and feel very natural, enhancing the animals’ well-being. We had plenty of time to walk the entire 2.5 km circuit and see all the animals, including the polar bear, arctic foxes, and lynxes. The guided tour provided great information, and our guide was really helpful. The transport worked smoothly, and while the lunch buffet was nothing special, it was perfectly okay. We enjoyed the entire trip very much!
