Skopje: Strumica & Berovo Tour

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Skopje to Strumica, a city known for its vibrant festivals, centuries-old monasteries, and stunning waterfalls. As you arrive, your first stop will be the Monastery of the Holy Mother of God Eleusa, a spiritual sanctuary dating back to the 11th century. Here, you will admire its impressive architecture and learn about its historical and religious significance.

Next, you will explore the Strumica Fortress, a medieval stronghold perched above the city, offering panoramic views of the Strumica valley. Your guide will share fascinating stories of the fortress’s role in the region’s history, from ancient times to the Ottoman era.

The journey continues to one of Macedonia’s most breathtaking natural wonders—the Koleshino or Smolare Waterfall. Surrounded by lush forests, these waterfalls provide a peaceful retreat into nature, where you can enjoy the sound of cascading water and capture beautiful photos.

After a short break, you’ll travel towards Berovo, a picturesque mountain town located in the Maleshevo region, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Macedonia” due to its pristine air, rolling hills, and serene lake.
