Kotor: Rafting on Tara River

Our adventure begins in the historic town of Kotor, where we’ll embark on a scenic drive through the rugged terrain of Montenegro, heading towards the majestic Tara River. As we approach the river, anticipation builds, and excitement fills the air, setting the stage for an unforgettable rafting experience.

Upon arrival at the Tara River, you will be provided by a thorough safety briefing and equipped with all the necessary gear, including neoprene suits, boots, life jackets, and waterproof bags. Once prepared, we’ll board our rafts and set off on our aquatic journey downstream.

As we navigate the crystal-clear waters of the Tara River, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes, including hidden waterfalls, towering cliffs, and lush greenery. Along the way, we’ll make two stops to allow you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural surroundings. One stop will be next to the Ljutica River, where you can capture stunning photos and take a refreshing swim in the clear, cold waters. For the adventurous spirits, there’s even a rock from which you can jump into the river!

Continuing our journey, we’ll raft through the deepest part of the canyon, reaching heights of 1300 meters above sea level, offering unparalleled views and a sense of awe-inspiring grandeur. After an exhilarating morning on the water, we’ll pause for a well-deserved lunch break, enjoying a delicious meal amidst the pristine wilderness of the national park.

Following lunch (not included), we’ll make our way back to Kotor, stopping at the Curevac viewpoint along the way. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to marvel at the breathtaking vistas of the canyon from above, capturing the beauty of the landscape from a different perspective.

As we return to Kotor, you’ll reflect on the day’s adventures, cherishing the memories created and the bonds forged with fellow adventurers. You can relax and enjoy the thrill of rafting through one of Europe’s most stunning natural wonders.
