Originally constructed as a wooden castle, it was later transformed into a stone fortress. The castle’s picturesque location on a travertine mound above the town adds to its allure.

We were looking for a day trip that included both history and scenery, and this tour delivered! Čičmany is a place like no other—so unique and beautifully preserved. Bojnice Castle was gorgeous inside and out, with well-kept grounds and plenty of opportunities for great photos. I only wish we had a little more time in the village, but overall it was a fantastic, relaxing day out.
