During this relaxed and informative session, you’ll be guided through the fascinating history of oyster harvesting in Bohuslän and learn why this coastline became home to the Swedish Oyster Academy. Your host will introduce you to the two oyster species found in these waters — the native Ostrea edulis and the Pacific Crassostrea gigas — explaining how to recognize them and what sets their flavours apart.
You’ll also learn how to open oysters safely and confidently, gaining practical skills you can take home.
