Our journey begins in the early morning from Bucharest, as we set off northwards towards the former capital of the medieval Wallachian principality, Curtea de Arges. From there, we ascend towards the Carpathian Mountains, traversing the legendary Transfagarasan Road. Along the way, we make a stop at the Vidraru Dam, one of Romania’s largest, offering a spectacular sight.

The Transfagarasan Road, hailed as the best road in the world by Top Gear, stretches for 100 kilometers, perched high in the Fagaras Mountains. Throughout the drive, you’ll have the opportunity to take in breathtaking panoramic views, capture stunning photographs, and breathe in the crisp, invigorating mountain air. Keep your camera ready, as bears are known to occasionally make appearances from the roadside.

As we continue our journey, we pass by the captivating Capra Waterfall and ascend to the pinnacle of our adventure at Balea Lake. Here, you’ll have free time to savor the surroundings and capture perfect pictures of this pristine alpine gem.

By evening, we return to Bucharest, having experienced a day filled with awe-inspiring landscapes and unforgettable memories.
